Thomas H. Rybar entered into Eternal Rest on December 10th, 2021, at the age of 96. He is survived by his wife, Hanna Rybar. Tom was born in Horning, Pennsylvania on February 27, 1925 to Roman and Polly Rybarski. He grew up in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. He served his country honorably in the Army Air Corps, 151st AAF/ATC during World War II. He served in the Pacific Theatre in New Guinea and the Philippines. In October 2015, Tom participated in the Indy Honor Flight and flew to Washington D.C. to visit the memorials.
In addition to his wife, Hanna; Tom is survived by his sister, Bernice Deboe of Canonsburg, PA; two children, Nancy Wilson of Jacksonville, FL and Sandra McLaughlin of Carmel, IN; grandchildren: Barry McLaughlin and Brad McLaughlin; and great-grandchildren: Hayley, Colton, Henry, Sam and Abby.
Tom is also survived by his extended family, Sandy and Dan Marquez; grandchildren: Jessy Fredrick and Molly Marquez; great-grandchildren: Jaden and Aleya Petersen, Gabriella and Everlee Fredrick; and his dear friend, Merle Kranning.
Tom was predeceased by his brothers: Edwin, Walter, and Wallace and sisters: Ruth, Naomi and Nancy.
Friends may call from 11am until 1pm on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, where funeral services will immediately follow beginning at 1pm. Entombment will follow services in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
