Thomas -Eugene- Fields

Thomas “Eugene” Fields, 69, of Indianapolis, passed away October 22, 2017. He was born on January 7, 1948 in Indianapolis as the son of Thomas Fields and Ruth (Shelton) Preuss. He graduated from Warren Central High School. After high school he attended Indiana Business College where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

Eugene worked at Meijer as a Gourmet Specialist for many years. He was a big fan of the Indianapolis Colts, IU and WWE and his favorite wrestler was John Cena. He had season tickets to the Indianapolis Indians games. Eugene enjoyed watching old western movies and the television show Cops. His favorite thing to do was to play with his grandchildren.

Eugene is survived by his son, Aaron (Amanda) Fields; his grandchildren, Zachary, Olivia, Madisin, Axyl, Abbigayle, Austen and Alecsys; and his sister, Brenda Tilford. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Ruth Preuss; his loving wife, Debbie Fields; and his grandchild, Alec.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 4-8pm at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46229. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 2pm also at the funeral center. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
