Thomas Edward Berry

Thomas Edward Berry, 74, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on October 28, 2019. Tom was born in San Diego, CA on June 27, 1945 to parents, John Robert and Betty Maxine (Shaw) Berry. Tom served his country honorably in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. During his career, Tom worked in the information technology industry, retiring from Alliance Data Systems (Columbus, OH) as an IT Director. Tom’s greatest love was his family, whom he adored spending time with. Tom enjoyed traveling- especially to Key West and Europe, snowboarding, golfing, fishing and a good glass of red wine.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Paula Lynn (Oleson) Berry, whom he married on June 25, 1985 in Negril, Jamaica; daughter, Jessica Nicole Meier (Ben); son, John Howard Berry (Lindsey Hull); brother, Robert Berry (Harriet Hammer); sister, Marge S. Bugbee (Jeff); grandpuppy, Chip; as well as numerous other loving extended family members and friends.

Friends may gather with the family on Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 2pm until 4pm at Flanner Buchanan- Broad Ripple, 1305 Broad Ripple Avenue, Indianapolis, with a wine & champagne toast to be held at 3:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Tom’s memory be made to Be The Match or The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
