Thomas C.H. “Tom” Derbique, 70, Indianapolis, passed away March 14, 2018. He was born December 14, 1947, in La Crosse, WI, the son of the late Clayton and Evangeline (Spinti) Derbique.
Tom proudly and faithfully served in the United States Army for 25 years, which included serving in the Vietnam War and teaching at the NCO Academy in Hawaii. Following his retirement, Tom owned and operated Derbique Investigations. He was a founding member of the Indiana Association of Professional Investigators. He enjoyed building and racing remote control planes and automobiles, and he loved to play golf.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elena Derbique; four children, Thomas “Tommy” Derbique, Timothy A. (Lynda) Derbique, Mark A. (Bridget) Derbique, Tammy T. (John) Pfeiffer; six grandchildren, Ashley, Allie, Emily, Alexis, Anthony, and Serena; two great grandchildren, Colton and Rowe; brother, Eugene Derbique; and a sister, Joanne (Dennis) Liesen. He was preceded in passing by two sisters, Marlene and Melodie.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2018, at Geist Christian Church, 8550 Mud Creek Road. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Geist Christian Church. Arrangements were entrusted to Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
