Theresa Ann Griffith, 35, Indianapolis, went home to be with her Lord on February 3, 2023.
She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Richard and Janice (Callahan) Griffith. Theresa was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Griffith, her grandparents, Chuck and Mildred Callahan, and Allen and Betty Griffith. Theresa is survived by her daughter Adeline (Addy) Griffith, Addy’s father Ted Geissendoerfer, her parents Richard and Janice Griffith, her brother Michael Griffith, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Theresa enjoyed working in the high energy environment of good restaurants and later worked as a client service rep for OneAmerica. Theresa also worked in a variety of jobs related to her love and care for animals including driving a horse drawn carriage in downtown Indianapolis, caring for pets at veterinary facilities and pet stores. She had an avid interest in aquarium fish and salt water tanks.
Theresa, her brother Michael and her parents enjoyed traveling over the years to many states and the Bahamas, and Canada. Although she loved many sports, Theresa really loved the outdoors. She enjoyed kayaking, hiking and camping. She was very athletic. She could play just about any sport and participated in track, lacrosse, volleyball and her main love, basketball. She played basketball throughout grade school at St. Simon Catholic School and Cathedral High School. She was a key member of the Carmel AAU summer basketball team that won a national championship.
She loved to watch football, especially the Indianapolis Colts and loved music, especially country music and rock including the Dave Matthews Band.
She was a dedicated, loving, wonderful mother, daughter and sister. Theresa had a kind and compassionate heart, and was very dedicated to her family. She had a great sense of humor and was fun to be around.
Theresa was an organ donor and was able to save four lives. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society or Saint Lawrence Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 13, 2023, from 11 AM to 12 PM at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. A mass of Christian burial will begin there at 12 PM. Online condolences may be shared at www.flannerbuchanan.com
