Theodore “Chip” Joseph Judkins, age 75 a beloved father, grandfather, brother and son, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at his residence in Beech Grove Indiana. Chip was born on June 10, 1948 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Theodore Gene and Mary Jo (Hock) Judkins.
Chip grew up in Indianapolis and attended St. Philip Neri grade school, Arsenal Tech High School where he excelled in mechanical engineering and graduated in 1966. After high school Chip enlisted in the United States Air Force to serve his country, and once home, he worked for Service Supply Co, Raytheon Airlines, then FedEx from where he retired.
Chip enjoyed restoring his ’34 Ford Coupe, attending car shows with his friends, reading, camping, traveling, working out, antique shopping. He was a joyful square dancer, enjoyed photography and developing his work, he mostly enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, family and friends. Chip was a spiritualist, was into metaphysics and meditation. He also enjoyed spoiling his family’s animals with giving them treats. To everyones’ delight he was a jokester and prankster. Chip was a caring and gentle man whose smile lit up a room. He was the most wonderful person to share life with, and will be incredibly missed by his family and all who knew him.
Chip was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Gene Judkins, and his two sisters, Pamela Kay Foster and Maria Elaina Judkins; his grandparents Albert and Margaret Hock. He is survived by his life partner, Donna Sartini of New Palestine, his mother Mary Jo of Indianapolis, his daughter Corrine (Brian) Ringham of Martinsville, four grandchildren Kira, Hayden, Brian Jr. and Sloan. Sister Jan (Ron) Stewart of Greenwood, brothers Bill of Indianapolis and Ronnie (Becky) Judkins of Indianapolis, many nieces and nephews and step daughter Yolanda Rogers.
