Thelma B. Apel

Thelma B. Apel passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022 in Indianapolis. She was 96 years old. Born Thelma Ruby Boettcher to parents, Edna H. (Jackisch) Boettcher and William A. Boettcher on February 4, 1926, in Cleveland, MO. She married Lawrence H. Apel (deceased) on January 26, 1952, in St. Louis, MO. She worked at the United States Army Finance Center in St. Louis, MO before moving to Indianapolis. She was a long-time member of the former Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis where she was an elder. She was currently a member of Irvington Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis. She was also a 75-year member of Eastern Star.

She leaves behind two beloved daughters, Kathryn A. Jester (Conner) of Indianapolis and Carol E. Apel (Jim Sams) of Charlotte, NC, as well as two beloved granddaughters, Melissa Kathryn Jester and Erin Elizabeth Jester, both of Indianapolis.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 2pm at Flanner and Buchanan- Memorial Park, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends are invited to leave online condolences for the family at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
