Thelma Adelaide Lowder, 96, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 9, 2018, with her loving family surrounding her. Thelma is survived by her children, Linda (Dennis) McLain, Terri (Steve) Durham, Sherry (Dick) Evans, Kathy (Mike) Flake and Elizabeth (Art) Landing and daughter-in-law, Della (Robert) Lowder. She was preceded in death by her two sons, William Lowder and Robert Lowder; and the love of her life, Harry Robert Lowder. Thelma was born to parents, William and Bernice Branham on November 28, 1921 in Indianapolis, IN. She had three sisters, Lucille, Lillian, and Betty and one brother, and two half-sisters, Mary Lou and Shirley She attended Manual High School. She was married to Harry Robert Lowder on February 24, 1940. Thelma and Bob had 7 children, 19 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was generous, loving and kind. She was dedicated to God and family and was a member of the Christian Biblical Church of God. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 4pm-8pm at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park, 425 North Holt Road, Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 14 at 11am at the funeral home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Thelma’s life. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Meadow Lakes Senior Living for their dedication and care during these last 3 months.
