Terry “Little Chick” Childress, 63, of Indianapolis, passed away May 9th, 2021. He was born June 14th, 1957, in Beech Grove, Indiana, to parents Chick and Betty (Hughes) Childress.
He enjoyed working as a diesel mechanic at Yellow Freight for many years before retiring.
Terry was a fun-loving man who never knew a stranger. He loved cruising on his Harley, and he was big fan of IU sports, the Pacers, and NASCAR. Terry adored his children and grandchildren. He lived life to the fullest and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Terry is survived by his children Robert “Cody” Childress, David Biggerstaff, and Amanda Law; eight grandchildren; his brothers Carroll Childress, David (Sherry) Childress, Denny Johnson, Steve Jent, Allen Pike, Roy Ward, and Butch Lewis; his sister Meri Childress; Nieces and nephews David (Abbey) Childress and their children, and Edward (Jamie) and their children; And his loving partner Robin Curry.
Terry is preceded in death by his grandmother Millie Hughes; his parents Chick and Betty Childress; brothers Kenneth Ray Childress, and Bob Childress; and his sister-in-law Martha.
Visitation for Terry will be at Flanner Buchanan Memorial Park, Thursday May 13th, 4pm-8pm. His funeral service will be Friday May 14th, a 1pm, with an hour of visitation prior (12pm-1pm). He will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery. You may watch to livestream of the service using this LINK.
