Terri Mccord

New Palestine, Indiana – Terri McCord passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones, on June 13, 2023. Born to Arthur and Anita McPherson (Stiko) on August 9, 1957, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Terri was 65 years old.

Terri, a graduate of Warren Central High School, served was a long-time bookkeeper for ICS Mechanical. She had recently started bookkeeping at Black Gold builders as well, after retiring in 2022.

When not working, Terri loved spending time doing crafts as gifts for family and friends. She also enjoyed shopping, listening to Aerosmith or Elvis, and preparing for Christmas. She enjoyed a romance novel or two here and there as well.

However, Terri’s greatest love was for her family. Whether that was playing hostess for get togethers, joining her daughters on a cruise, or traveling to Pennsylvania for Thanksgiving, she loved to dote on her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her father, Terri is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis McCord who passed on June 5, 2011.

Terri is survived by her mother, Anita McPherson (Stiko); children Jason McCord (Lori), Tricia Shelton (Jeff), Jessica East (Shane); sisters Dawn Toole (Kevin), Michelle Wilbon (Jack); and grandchildren Zoey, Ana, Makaia, Lucas, Caden, and Kaylee.

Friends and family will gather for visitation at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229) on Saturday, 6/24/2023, from 10-12 pm. Funeral services will follow at 12 pm.
