Terri L. Martin 63 of Indianapolis, IN passed away March 8, 2023. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 15, 1959, to Keith W. and Nellie A. (Brown) Parker. Terri was a trail blazer of sorts in that she was the first female EMT and Paramedic for EMS and she finished at the top of her class training for this profession. She was the first female paramedic to work at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, an accomplishment she was proud of and paved the way for other women to serve there in the same capacity. She also served during NASCAR events, as well as events a Lucas Oil Raceway, just to name a few. She worked as a paramedic for numerous Fire Departments and Ambulance Companies throughout Indiana covering shifts for colleagues having a day off, sick or on vacation and she loved every minute of it. She loved her calling to assist people in emergency situations and took great pride in helping them. Terri dearly loved anything and everything about Mickey Mouse. She was loved by many and will be missed dearly. Terri is survived by her mother, Nellie A. Parker, her sisters, Sherri (Keith) Schneck, Cindi (Tim) Burks, Marla (Russ) Renton, and her nieces, great nieces and nephews, Brittani (Trey) Blazic, and their children, Piper and Aveline Blazic, Cody Schneck, Lacie Downing, and her children Chandler Downing and her children, Kaydence and Landen Todd, Brittany (Jason) Plunkett and her children, Lauren, and Cole Plunkett. Graveside services will be held on March 15, 2023, her birthday, 3:00pm at Floral Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation prior to her service.
