Teddie Lee Maines

Teddie L. Maines, 88, of Noblesville, IN passed away on November 1, 2019. Teddie was born in Noblesville, IN on April 10, 1931 to parents, Graden O. and Clara A. (Dwigans) Maines. Teddie served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a Purple Heart recipient. During his career, he worked in maintenance with the Noblesville School System.

Teddie was preceded in death by his parents, Graden and Clara; second wife, Verna F. Maines; third wife, Karen S. Maines; sons, Gary D. and Phillip R. Maines; sisters and brothers-in-law, Inez Phipps (Joe), Ruby Hubbartt (John), Virginia Roquet (Carl), and Vivian Murphy (Joe); and brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl Maines (Ruby), Harold Maines (Alice), Maurice Maines (Mae) and Graden Jr. Maines.

He is survived by his children, Brenda E. Sherwood (Ray) and Greg L. Maines; grandchildren: Eric W. Stevenson, Christopher J. Sherwood, Shannon Maines, Chelsea Maines, Tamara Maines, Brandon L. Maines, Rose I. Maines and Janell M. Maines; great-grandson, Zachary L. Maines; sister, Barbara Maines; step-children: Tina M. Wiley and Lynette Carter; step-grandchildren, Duncan Wiley and Austin Carter; and step-great-grandson, Jaxson Carter; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Friends may call from 10am until 12 Noon on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Flanner Buchanan- Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Good Shepherd Chapel), 9700 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis. Burial with military honors will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
