Tanis Kay Fields

Tanis was born on July 22nd, 1941 to David and Grace Ditman in Omaha, Nebraska. She grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in 1959.

Tanis married John L. Fields on August 5th, 1961 and together they raised their two children John and Jennifer.

She was the proprietor of Delafield’s, known for their wonderful desserts, Tanis spent 15 years at Von Maur in Women’s accessories. Tanis thrived at caring and providing for others.

Tanis was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents Grace and David, and her brother Charles.  Tanis is survived by her son John (Stephanie) Fields, and daughter Jennifer (Clay) Oskins, Her brother Jim, five grandsons, two granddaughters, two great grandsons, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held Friday, June 18 at 1 PM in Washington Park East Cemetery, 10612 E. Washington St, Indianapolis.
