Synorvia Jean Woods was born at home on October 5, 1949 at 2108 W. 10th St. in Indianapolis, Indiana, daughter of Abner Nibbs Jr. (who preceded her in death) and Ceola Nibbs. Synorvia was united in Holy Matrimony to David Woods Sr, (who preceded her in death). To this union three children were born.

Synorvia was a member of Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Assembly. She served on the Usher Board and was a choir member. She enjoyed attending afternoon bible class under the leadership of Pastor Finnell.

She attended Wendell Phillips grade school 63 and Crispus Attucks High School. She was employed with Cicoa for fifteen years as a site manager. “Jeanie” as she was affectionately called, spent most of her time as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Synorvia Jean Woods departed this life on July 4, 2019. She leaves to cherish her memory: mother Ceola Nibbs; two sons David Jr (Latasha) and Eddie Woods; daughter Shari Perry (Walter); brothers David Louis Nibbs (Connie), Gregory Nibbs; sisters, Pauline Freeman, Earline Nibbs, Sharon Nibbs, Beverly Winters (Reggie); 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by brother Abner Nibbs III and sister Thelma Nibbs.
