Sylvia Ann Crockett

Sylvia Ann (nee Hurtt) Crockett, 78, of Indianapolis, passed away on October 1, 2017. She was born on December 23, 1938 to the late Walter and Audra (nee Franks) Hurtt of Lafayette, Indiana.

Sylvia loved the Lord with all of her heart, mind, and soul; she loved her neighbor as herself. She delighted in spending time with family, reveling in hearing what everyone was doing. Her friends knew her for her keen wit and marvelous sense humor. She believed that “one should eat dessert first because, well one never knows…”

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, her son Walter Todd, and her granddaughter Rachel Lillian. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Robert Crockett; her children, Tim (Charlotte) Crockett and Amy (Neil) Flatter; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Christ Lutheran Church, 701 East Tilden Drive in Brownsburg, with the service immediately following. A private burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
