Sylvia Alyce Wooster

Sylvia Alyce Wooster, 72, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 11, 2017. She was born on October 11, 1945 in Indianapolis as the daughter of William and Violet Dyke. She graduated from Warren Central High School in 1963.

Sylvia worked for PNC Bank for many years before she retired. She was a member of Gray Road Baptist Church in Indianapolis. She enjoyed singing with Sweet Adelines and in her church choir. She loved cooking, reading, sewing and spending time with her family, especially her kids and grandkids.

Sylvia will be lovingly missed by her children, Timothy (Cheryl) Wooster, David (Shari) Wooster and Janene (David) Burks; grandchildren, Gregory Burks, Kristen Burks, Amanda Cutshaw, Austin Wooster, Amy Wooster, Danielle Burks and Jill Wooster; great-grandchildren, Nolan Burks, Vanessa Burks, Grace Cutshaw, Maxwell Cutshaw and Ella Burks; and siblings, Richard Dyke, James Dyke and Stephen Dyke. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Virginia Pace, William Dyke, Charles Dyke and Margaret Dyke.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 5-8pm at Gray Road Baptist Church, 5500 S. Gray Road, Indianapolis, IN 46237. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 17 at 10am also at the church. Pastor Toby Johnson will be officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery, 10612 E. Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46229.
