Susan Miller Elson

Susan Miller Elson passed away on February 11, 2020 at the age of 57. Susan was born in Indianapolis, IN on October 16, 1962 to the late, Patrick and Caroline (Briggs) Miller. She was a 1981 graduate of Cathedral High School and attended Indiana University and Nursing School before leaving to devote herself to her family.

Susan was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was present and involved in all aspects of her children’s activities growing up within St. Lawrence Catholic School, where she was a Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP) leader, member of the Mom’s Club, Sports Committee, School Board, Kick Ball Coach and Room Mom. She was an avid sports fan, especially racing and the Indianapolis 500, IU Basketball and Cathedral Football. She adored being outdoors and spending time with family and friends boating on the lakes. She enjoyed music and attending concerts, especially her beloved Bon Jovi and Todd Rundgren and she adored collecting guardian angels. Her positivity and love for life will live on forever.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Caroline and one brother, Patrick Miller, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 28 years, Kevin P. Elson; her children Elizabeth Elson (Al Zalam), Caitlin Elson and Zach Elson; her beloved dog, Sage; as well as many other extended family members and friends.

Friends may call from 4pm until 8pm on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Flanner Buchanan-Broad Ripple (1305 Broad Ripple Avenue, Indianapolis). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Monday, February 17, 2020 at St. Pius X Catholic Church (7200 Sarto Drive, Indianapolis). Burial will follow mass in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
