Susan E. Jones

McCordsville, Indiana – Susan Elizabeth Jones, 72, passed away peacefully at home after being comforted by her beloved husband Roy, on January 30, 2025.

Susan was born on June 2, 1952, to parents Harold & Oldys (Moon) Cox, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She attended Thomas Carr Howe High School, graduating in 1970. Afterwards, she enjoyed a career of over 30 years with the Drug Enforcement Agency as an Investigative Assistant, which she was rightfully very proud of.

Susan met the love of her life, Roy, in October of 1976 and by January of 1977 they began their lives together as husband and wife. They celebrated forty-eight years of marriage together before her passing.

Together, she and Roy traveled all over Europe and the Western United States. They also raised several dogs, including their beloved Cricket, and enjoyed refinishing antique furniture. Susan enjoyed learning various crafts, like macrame, to occupy her time.

Susan is survived by her loving husband Roy Jones, and siblings Patricia Blackwood and George Cox (Pamela).

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
