Susan J. Caponigri

Susan J. Caponigri, 83 of Carmel, IN formerly of Lake Forest, IL, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019.  Susan was born March 24, 1936 in Chicago to the late Earl and Susan Abbs.  For a brief period, Susan taught 6^th grade before staying home to raise her children.

Susan was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church as a resident of Carmel and a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Lake Forest.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Monday, November 11 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Susan is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joseph V. Caponigri; children, Nora S. Kolibar, Mary E. Bolinger, Elizabeth J. Aldred, Margaret A. (husband, Mark) Strothkamp and Brian N. Caponigri; 9 grandchildren; brother, John Abbs.
