Steven R. Broderick

Steven R. “Steve” Broderick, 59 of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2020.  Steve was born October 7, 1960 In Irving, Texas.  He graduated from Brebeuf Jesuit high school where he was a 3 sport athlete playing, basketball, football and running track.  He was a graduate of Miami of Ohio University where he played football.  His love of sports led him to coach youth basketball, football, and baseball.

Steve was a legendary member of the Indianapolis Athletic Club where he made many close friends, an avid Golden Gloves supporter and an ardent political commentator.

Since 1981, he has been self-employed as a manufacturers’ representative.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 18 at 1:00 pm at St. Pius X Catholic Church.  Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, January 17 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at St. Pius X Catholic Church and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. A private family burial will be held after the Mass.

Steve is survived by his wife, Krista; children, Matt, Aidan and Colin; mother, Roberta Broderick; father and step mother, Richard and Cathryn Broderick; siblings, Karen (Charles) Green, Tom (Nikki) Broderick, Mike (Susan) Broderick, Adam (Kelley) Broderick and Kevin (Rachel) Broderick.

Due to allergies, the family requests no flowers.  Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
