Sterling Pitcock Sr., 71, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 25, 2018.
Sterling was the youngest of 23 children born to Harley and Onie Pitcock on August 15, 1947 in Scottsville, Kentucky. He attended Manual High School, and honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was hard working and was proud to have owned and operated his own business, Sterling Scavenger Service, from which he retired in 2010. Sterling was dedicated to his family and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind his children, Pamela K. Pitcock and Sterling Pitcock Jr.; grandchildren, Christopher, Dustin, Zachary and Jaxson; and siblings, Vickie Yonanovich, Theodore “Ted” Pitcock, and David Pitcock . He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Pitcock.
A graveside service will take place at 3:00pm on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9350 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sterling’s honor may be made to the Indianapolis Humane Society; Indy Humane, 7929 N Michigan Road Indianapolis IN 46268.
