Stephen Wayne Hall, 72, passed away on April 24, 2020. He was born on March 6, 1948, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Donna Collins and Huntz Hall.
Stephen attended Arsenal Technical High School. He then served in the United States Army, where he performed with distinction and valor. He earned the Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals. Stephen was also awarded the Marksman, Paratrooper, Good Conduct, and Vietnam Service medals. After his military service, he worked for many years in automotive sales. Stephen received an Honorary Sheriff’s Badge in recognition of his heroism in saving a family from a burning house.
Stephen was liked and respected by his friends. He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, and hanging out at the White River Yacht Club. He also closely followed Indy car racing and was an avid racing photographer. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, and participated in the Patriot Guard Riders.
Stephen is survived by daughter, Kimberly (Dan) Hall; son, Steve (Amanda) Hall; brother, Michael K. (Paula) Collins McCage; and stepdaughter, Chris (Randy) Land. Steve had eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Stephen’s memorial will be on Saturday, September 25th, at 10 am, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 9700 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46205, in the Good Shepherd Chapel.
