Stephen "Steve" Robert Hendricks

Stephen Robert Hendricks, 63, of Indianapolis passed away on May 17, 2021 after a long, hard fought battle. He was born on July 30, 1957 in Indianapolis to Robert Hendricks and the late Arlene Jacks. Steve has been a hard worker all his life—whether it was at his job or in his yard. He enjoyed the outdoors, animals, and his pets—even the unusual ones. Most of all, Steve loved his family especially his grandchildren. He will be missed sorely by all the lives he has touched.

Steve is survived by his dad, Stephen “Robert” Hendricks; his sisters, Vicky (Mike) Pardee and Becky Lawson; his daughter, Rachael (Rickey) McPherson; and his beloved grandchildren, Taylor (Nash), Rickey III, Brayden, and Aiden.

Steve is preceded in death by his mother, Arlene Jacks; his brother, Clifford Hendricks; and his furbabies, Teddy and Zeus.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 12-2PM at Flanner Buchanan—Washington Park East, 10722 E Washington Street. A funeral service will begin at 2PM. Steve will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery.
