Stephen Leroy Loux
70, Indianapolis, passed away on December 1, 2017. Stephen was born in Indianapolis, IN on May 28, 1947 to his parents, William A. and Margaret T. (Robinson) Loux. Stephen retired from the US Marine Corps, serving his country honorably during the Vietnam War. He owned his own parking lot stripping company before going on to work for Allison’s Transmissions, where he worked until retirement. Stephen loved life. He was very adventurous and outgoing. He enjoyed the outdoors – hunting, fishing, scuba diving, riding his motorcycle, snowmobiling, and flying his ultralight aircraft. He also enjoyed working with his hands, whether it was working to put together a model, fixing a car, or playing poker with his friends. Stephen also loved sports- especially his beloved, Purdue Basketball.
Stephen was preceded in death by his father, William and mother, Margaret Anderson and his brothers, Eddie and Randy.
He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 49 years, Donna (Murray) Loux; son, Robert “Bob” Loux (Diana); daughter, Shawn Martin (Jeff); grandson, Jarrett Loux; siblings: Shirley, Patty, Sherry and Terry and Michele; and his best friends, Phil Wyeth, Rick Girolami and Jim Jones.
Family and friends may call from 11am until 1pm on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Flanner Buchanan- Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, where his funeral service will immediately follow at 1pm. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
