Shiv Patel

Shiv was an ideal child who was social, loving, talented and humble and enjoyed many different activities, sports and adventures.  Shiv loved Hickory Elementary School and had visited many places in Indiana and around the US (his favorite out of town trips were Southern California, Florida and Washington DC).  These fun experiences led Shiv to appreciate the diversity of our world and form friendships with countless people from all walks of life.   Shiv’s inquisitiveness, gratitude, sense of humor, and big smile brought joy and optimism to people that met him.  Shiv had a fondness for listening to the Chapter headlines of the book Transcendence which he gave to many distinguished leaders and came to embrace the book’s message of the importance of human cooperation.  There are endless instances of Shiv’s exceptional curiosity, creativity, achievements, patience, persistence, hard work and courage.  These leadership traits, at such a young age, will be a source of inspiration for our human family for years to come.  Shiv’s timeless virtues, countless good deeds and unwavering faith in God have liberated his soul which now rests with God in eternal bliss.
