Shirley (Brown) Welch passed on to her final rest on Friday, November 26th, 2021. She was preceded into spirit by John, her husband of 44 years, parents, Harold and Evelyn (Feaster) Brown, three sisters, Deloris (Brown) Page Bowling, Carolyn (Brown) Batty, Janet June Brown, and grandson Bryan Asperger. She is survived by daughters, Lynn Welch and Linda (Welch) Warren, five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
Shirley was a Christian lady and the church played a significant role in her spiritual well-being. She and my dad were founding members of the First Grace Gospel Church pastored by Reverend John LaVier.
Shirley was involved in retail sales for most of her career. She was also a talented local artist, preferring to portray peaceful country scenes, shorelines and seascapes. Many of her paintings enjoy a home amongst her many friends and family members. Shirley had a kind, loving heart and soul and was loved by those lives she touched. She has left a void that cannot be filled, and we will miss her presence in our daily lives.
