Shirley Mae Linhart

Shirley Mae Linhart, 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, October 24, 2021. She was born on April 20, 1931 in Beech Grove, IN to the late Frank Sr. and Grace Coonfield Tuttle. She graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in 1949. 

She married the late William L. Linhart, Sr. on August 20, 1949 and together they shared 67 years of marriage until his passing in 2015. She was a beloved mother and housewife.  

Shirley is survived by her son, William L. Jr. (Mary); grandchildren, Amber K. Proffitt, Joshua Proffitt and Zachary A. Linhart (Sandra); great-grandson, Bobby C. Linhart; great-granddaughter Macie S. Linhart; son-in-law, Michael Proffitt; grand-daughter in law, Elvira Linhart-Davis; along with several nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in passing by her daughter, Judy K. Linhart Proffitt; grandson, Matthew S. Linhart; and siblings, Mary (Bary) Hammel, Howard, and Frank Tuttle Jr. 

A time of visiting will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 12PM-2PM with funeral services to begin at 2PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229.
