Shirley Faye Johnson

Shirley Faye Johnson, 81, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully, July 29th, 2024. She was born August 19th, 1942, in St. Charles, Virginia to parents Delmar and Bertha (Cooper) Scott. 

Shirley moved to Indianapolis as a young woman, where she started her career and her family. 

She was a very hard worker, working at Western Electric and Diversified, before she retired. 

Shirley married Charles Johnson. Charles passed away in 1993. 

Shirley was a strong, loving woman who valued family, overall. She was very independent, but regularly enjoyed social outings with friends. Her lifelong Christian faith was very important to her. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. 

Shirley will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

She is survived by her daughter Lynda Crouch; grandchildren Myranda Crouch, Anthony Crouch, and Nena Tursi; great-granddaughter Ava Crouch; siblings James Scott, Freddy Scott, Paul Scott, and Jerry Scott; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles; and her siblings Jean Tabor, Frank Scott, Doris Massingill, and Dave Scott.
