Shirley Cinamon

Shirley Cinamon, age 87, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Monday morning, September 16, 2024. Shirley was born on August 21, 1937, in Speedwell, Tennessee, a daughter of George Sears and Elsie Cinamon. Shirley married Frank M. Cinamon on February 12, 1957. He preceded her in death on July 2, 2010.

Shirley is survived by one son Mike Cinamon (wife, Caroline) of Westfield, Indiana; grandchildren: Steffy McCourt (husband, Mike), Rickey Cinamon, Jon Courchaine (wife, Keatha), Jake Cinamon (wife, Erin), Josh Cinamon, and David Cinamon; six great grandchildren; and one brother, Cliff Cinamon (wife, Linda).

She was preceded in death by two children: son, Rickey Cinamon in 1991 and daughter, Sheila Courchaine in 2013; one grandson, Matthew Cinamon; and one brother, Roy Cinamon.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, located at 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46229.

A cryptside service will follow at 3:00 PM at Washington Park East Cemetery, where Shirley will be laid to rest with her husband, Frank M. Cinamon.  Father Vinny Gillmore of St. Lawrence Catholic Church will officiate. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations in Shirley’s memory be made to the Dementia Society of America.
