Shirley Ann Utterback

Shirley Ann Utterback, 82 of Indianapolis, passed away January 11, 2018. She was born June 14, 1935 in Indianapolis and spent most of her life here except for 13 years she spent in Akron, Ohio. Shirley loved kids and worked at West Newton Friends Daycare over 20 years. She was very devoted to her family. She also loved animals.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Dale, her parents, Ben and Mary Temple, her brothers, Butch Temple and Shorty Chadwick and sister, Tootsie Chadwick. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Ronnie (Kay) Utterback and Donna (Mike) Craft, sister, Ida (Jack) Holding, grandchildren, Missy Utterback, Christopher (Cheryl) Utterback, Angel Cook (Matt Waterman) and Brad Utterback, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit from 4-8 pm Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis. The funeral will be at 1 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Greenwood, IN. Contributions may be made in Shirley’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
