Shirley Ann Davidson

Shirley Ann Davidson, 80, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022.  She was born on December 24, 1941 as the youngest child of the late Odus and Mildred (Eads) Fryman.

Shirley moved to Indianapolis as a young woman; here she met her future husband, Larry Davidson.  They were to celebrate 61 years of marriage this Friday, March 11, 2022.  In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Shirley worked for Irvine Laboratories, Western Electric and Rosalind Bakery.  She is a past member of Abundant Life Christian Church and was a diehard Pacers and Colts superfan. As Shirley’s health deteriorated over the years, she came to enjoy more time spent at home, surrounded by her large and loving family.

She is survived by her husband, Larry who retired from Jenn-Air; sons, Curtis, Greg and Scott Davidson; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamula Baker.

Visitation for Shirley will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 4-8pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East with additional visitation on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 12-2pm.  Funeral services will take place Thursday at 2pm, also at the funeral home.  Shirley will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery.
