Shirley Ann Cohron

Shirley Cohron, 83 of Lawrence, Indiana passed away on Thursday, November 29 surrounded by her husband and children. She was born on August 17, 1935 in Cumberland, Indiana to William and Devona Campbell and was the middle child of five.

Shirley started working at 14 at Buckleys at Cumberland. She married Darrel on August 31, 1956. Shirley loved spending time and making memories with her family. She always told stories about the fun times she had growing up. Whether it be playing cards, bowling, or going on vacations she most enjoyed being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and later her great-grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her father William Campbell, mother Devona Campbell, sister Barbara Hudson, and brothers William “Bill” Campbell and Cy Campbell.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Darrel Cohron; Children Sheila (Dana) Voelkel and Robert (Diane) Cohron; grandchildren Kirk (Melanie) Voelkel, Mindee (Jake) Upton, Dustin (Nicki) Voekel, Matthew (Jenni) Cohron, and Stephanie (Robert) Ewing; great-grandchildren Audrey, Lucas, Lila, Jones, Madison, Jack, Maria, Ardyn, Nixon, and Charlie; and sister Sonja Glassing.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis, IN with Visitation 12 noon until the time of service. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
