Sherry Lee Elliott

Sherry Lee Elliott, 77, of Avon, passed away February 23^rd, 2021. She was born in Indianapolis, November 28^th, 1943, to parents Jacob and Shirley (Jacobs) Patterson.

Sherry was a graduate of North Central high school.

In 1963, she married the love of her life, Gary Elliott. They shared 58 wonderful years together, often enjoying each other’s company on cruises and road trips.  Sherry adored her family, and loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Sherry was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and “G-ma”. She was an active, valued member of Linwood Christian Church, where she sang in the choir, cooked for all the church gatherings, and volunteered countless hours at the church food pantry and rummage room.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Sherry had a love for God and took that into every moment of her life. She welcomed everyone she met with an open heart and open arms.

Sherry is survived by her husband Gary Elliott; children Curt, Todd, and Donald Elliott; grandchildren David Elliott, Danielle Elliott, Leisa Schmid, Candy Caldwell, and Gary Elliott II; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings Tom Patterson & Joyce Patterson.

Sherry will have a memorial service at a later date and will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
