Sherry P. Crane

Sherry P. Crane, 82, passed away at her home in Carmel on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.  Sherry was born April 26, 1941 in Gastonia, NC to the late Fred and Vera Hunt.  She was a graduate of the Wake Forest School of Nursing.

Sherry worked as a pediatric nurse for 23 years at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula, Mississippi. She retired in 1996 to care for her husband. Sherry was also a published author of romance novels as well as an accomplished editor of the same.

Sherry was the widow of Stan Crane.  She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca S. (Tom) Hubbard; grandsons, Stephen and Joseph Hubbard; brother Fred Hunt, nieces Kimberly McCraw and Ruth (Brian) Capps, nephew Todd Hunt, and great-nephew Dylan Hunt.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gleaners Food Bank, Midwest Food Bank, The Salvation Army, and Wheeler Mission.
