Sherri Jo Taylor

Sherri Jo Taylor, 50, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away November 20, 2019 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born June 30, 1969 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Ronald Keith and Barbara Lawrence; she was the youngest of four children.

Sherri is a 1987 Decatur Central graduate. She worked 10 years in Accounts Payable for a local insurance company. She met the love of her life, Kevin Taylor, during high school but the pair didn’t reconnect until many years later while both were waiting at the BMV. They were married 9 years later and recently shared their 10th anniversary. The spent a total of 19 beautiful years together and remain deeply in love at the time of her passing. Sherri loved the outdoors, especially camping and boating. She also loved thrifting, especially at Goodwill, and was a huge fan of the Indianapolis Colts. Though all of these memories describe Sherri’s life, she is best remembered as an amazing mother, wife, sister, and friend to all. Her passing leaves an empty space in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to meet her; she will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Barbara. She is survived by her husband, Kevin; children, Brandi Clark and Bo Clark; siblings, Gary (Kim) Lawrence, Debbie (Tom) Kays, and Brian (Gina) Lawrence; grandchildren, Sydney and Bo; best friends Terry and Tim Bazoon; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 23 at 11 AM at Floral Park Cemetery.
