Sheila Ann Ballod

Shelia Ann (Sullivan) Ballod of Indianapolis, Indiana, died on Friday, October 14, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital with her family at her side. She was 84 years old and was born on October 13, 1938, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Hubert Sullivan and Elsie Ann Sullivan.

Sheila was the former wife of Ivar Ballod who died in 2006. She is survived by her children Lisa Heath (Bob), Mark, Michele (Buddy) and Mike; along with six grandchildren and six great- grandchildren.

A graduate of Shortridge High School, she also attended Marian College. Sheila was a long-time sales associate at William H. Block department store Canasta Room and left Blocks to help with her grandchildren.

Sheila was an avid gardener and passed on this love and skill to her children, who in turn passed it on to her grandchildren. She was an animal lover and was always surrounded and adored by dogs.

Sheila will be buried in a private family ceremony at Holy Cross and St. Joseph cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to The American Stroke Association or a charity of your choice.
