Sharon L. McCormick

Sharon L. (Williams) McCormick, age 76 of Greenwood, Indiana passed away on Thursday morning, August 15, 2024 at her residence in Greenwood.

Sharon was born on March 29, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of Bryan and Frankie (Chancellor) Williams. She was a longtime employee of Raytheon (Naval Avionics) in Indianapolis, retiring in 2014 and spending much of her time travelling throughout the United States in her RV with Jerry.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Bryan Williams and Terry Williams. Her husband Charles McCormick preceded her in death in 2006, and her son Eric McCormick passed away on January 1, 2012.

Sharon is survived by one son: Craig McCormick of Indianapolis, Indiana. She is also survived by her partner of many years: Jerry Cook of Greenwood, Indiana. Sharon is survived by her sisters Susan Meyer, Nancy Brown, and Shirley Pace of St. Louis, Missouri. She is survived by her grandchildren who she loved dearly: Miles McCormick, Nicholas McCormick and Faye McCormick, and her adopted grandchildren Whitney (Zuercher) Burke, Hailey Zuercher, and Katie Zuercher.

At Sharon’s wishes, Cremation Rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Sharon's Life for family and friends will be held at her residence, 5441 Red Hawk Lane, Greenwood, on Saturday August 31st, 2024 from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM.

Memorial contributions may be made in Sharon’s name to the Salvation Army.
