Sharon Marie Lark, 70 of Indianapolis, born May 19, 1953 passed away peacefully in her favorite chair at home on May 3, 2024.
Born to parents Thomas John McShane and Rosaline Marie (Sanders) McShane, Sharon attended Nativity Catholic School and St. Agnes Academy until its closure. She would later graduate from Warren Central High School in 1971.
Sharon then met and married the love of her life, Robert Lark, Jr. and wed in 1986. They would build a life and a family together over the course of their 38 year marriage. Over the years, they welcomed three children - Kerry, Jimmy, and Mary Kate - into the world. They were her greatest treasure.
Sharon and Bob traveled all over the country due to his service with the Army from Texas to Tennessee. Eventually, they landed back home in Indianapolis where they could live out their golden years in each other’s quiet company.
Sharon worked as a bank teller, with the Marion County Juvenile Center, and eventually worked with American United Life as a claims adjuster before retiring and becoming a full time homemaker.
An avid Euchre player, Sharon loved hosting card parties, bargain hunting, flea markets, and jigsaw puzzles. She was proud of her Irish heritage and devoted her lounge to her many Celtic treasures.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents and her children Kerry Marie Lark and James Douglas Lark.
Sharon is survived by her husband and daughter Mary Kathleen Lark (Jacob Mullinix) and her beloved Pomeranian Teddy. She is also survived by Michael McShane, Kathleen Wills (Michael), Thomas McShane (Julie), Nancy Chapin (Randy), Eileen Doyle (John), Patricia McShane (Michael Hennessey), nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be Saturday May 18th, from 11-1pm at Nativity Catholic Church. Her funeral Mass will begin at 1pm. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
