Sharon Kay Bowen Crist

Sharon Kay Crist, 72, of Indianapolis, Indiana was called home to God Wednesday, September 25, 2019.  She was born August 20, 1947 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Harry and Margaret Bowen.

She loved all things Irish. Her most cherished pastime was listening to an Irish singing group called Celtic Thunder. She was a longstanding resident of Carmel for 23 years and worked for Conseco Insurance Company for 22 years. She took care of what she called “Her Guys”, who were the signature service folks who worked alongside of her and Fran and Pat, who were her friends; she never met a stranger. Her best friend was Brenda, they were longtime friends from birth on forward. Sharon enjoyed long walks in the park to feed her beloved ducks. She would not want anyone to be sad, she would want everyone to listen to Celtic Thunder and not make a fuss over her passing. She would want everyone to raise their glass of ice cold Pepsi and cheer her farewell. She would want everyone to know she is at peace, she is not in pain anymore, and she has reunited with her mother and father, her dog, Pepper, and a host of other loved ones who have already passed on. She will be deeply missed by her son, James R. Crist; daughter, Suzanne M. Crist Cline; sister, Mauren Bowen; brother, Mark (Andy) Bowen; brother, Alan (Pat) Bowen; grandchildren, Joshua, Roger, Keria, Kyle, Ellie, Gary, Jessica, and Emily; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends whom she deeply cherished. We will love and miss her forever.

A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
