Sharon I. Turner, 91, of Indianapolis passed away on June 10, 2022. She was born on April 4, 1931, in Sullivan, Indiana to the late Dennis and Zenobia Sisk.
Sharon was a faithful member of the Lawrence Church of God, where she taught Sunday School. Her passion was to share the word of God with everyone she met. Her hobbies included baking, crossword puzzles, reading and writing. But her biggest joy in her life was her family.
Sharon is survived by her children: Tanya (David) Bivens, George (Stephanie) Turner, Michael (Carol) Turner, Kevin (Janna) Turner, Glenna (Carl) Baker, Richard (Wanda) Turner, Karyn (Steve) McBride, Kimberly (Scott) Cooper, and Thomas (Linda) Turner; 35 grandchildren; 88 great-grandchildren; and 42 great-great-grandchildren.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, George Turner; grandsons, Damon Turner, Monte Wooley, and Clay Shelly; brothers, Robert Sisk and Charles Sisk; and sisters, Rosemary Pittman and LaDonna Czerwonka.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, from 11am – 1pm at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis), where a funeral service will immediately follow, beginning at 1pm. Sharon will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery.
