Sharon Ann Brendle, 83, of Indianapolis passed away on Wednesday, October 13th, 2021. She was born in Brazil, Indiana on May 20, 1938.
Sharon and her husband were longtime members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She was an artist who created beautiful oil paintings. She was also a champion runner, avid swimmer, and loved dancing. An entrepreneur at heart, she started several businesses alongside her husband. They included clothing stores, hair/tanning salons, an accounting business, a commercial cleaning business and most recently, Brendle Honey Farm. Her energy, enthusiasm and love for her family will be missed.
She is survived by her siblings Curt Stout, Wayne (Dee) Stout, and Marlene (Larry) McCoy, Theresa (John) Traver, Rai (Oren) Hankins, Kelly (Tom) Hickey; Children Cathie (Craig) White, Michael (Dixie) Brendle, Phillip (Karen) Brendle; Grandchildren Adam (Lauren), Colton (Danielle), Michael (Ali), Morgan (Brandon) Griggs, Steven White, Nathan (Liz), Jason White, and Great-grandchildren Emily, Evelyn, Madison, Noah. She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Tommy Edward Brendle and her parents Rema Knowles Stout and Charles Franklin Stout.
Visitation will start at 10 a.m. and services will be held at 11 a.m. on Oct. 28th, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Indianapolis. Arrangements are entrusted to Flanner Buchanan—Washington Park East. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Riverview Adult Day Health Center, 2715 East Jackson Boulevard, Elkhart, IN 46516.
