Scott Lamont Ireland

Scott Lamont Ireland, 50, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022. He was born on April 18, 1972, in Evansville, IN.

Scott was an icon in the food and beverage industry. Every person he met became friends with Scott. From tending bar to catering events throughout the city, Scott was the ultimate professional with his craft.

Scott was a fantastic athlete! He prided himself on his great goalkeeping skills in soccer. He started playing at a young age in the Tabernacle Church sports program. Scott continued honing his skills at Chatard and on various club teams.

Scott will be remembered as a man who would help anyone in a time of need. His heart was bigger than life. He will also be remembered for his charismatic personality. Scott was truly a great friend, son, uncle and brother.

Scott is survived by his mother, Patricia A. Ireland; siblings, Pamla Ireland Harris of Pelham, GA; and Jon (Kellie) Ireland of Bargersville, IN. He is also survived by nieces, Julia Harris of West Palm Beach, FL; Rebecca Harris of Pehlam, GA; Emily Ireland of Bargersville, IN; and Katie Ireland of Bargersville, IN; and nephew Isaiah Hawkins of Indianapolis, IN.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Ronald G. Ireland; sister Lisa Aine Ireland; and brother-in-law Mark Harris.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 25, 2022, from 1-3pm at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park North. Friends are welcome to join the family for a short graveside service immediately following the visitation at Washington Park North Cemetery.
