Scott Lee Devney, 57, of Avon, passed away February 5th, 2022. He was born December 16th, 1964, in Beech Grove, Indiana to parents John and Carol (Dillehay) Devney.
Scott graduated from Center Grove High school.
He worked as an operations manager for Maintenance Supply (Lowes) for many years, a job he excelled at and enjoyed.
Scott was a caring, independent gentleman. He traveled a lot for work and enjoyed seeing all the different states he visited. Scott loved to fish. He found great peace being on the water. In his free time, he enjoyed building and playing with his remote-control planes, drones, and watercraft. He also enjoyed driving his racecar and cruising in his dune buggy.
Scott was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents John and Carol; siblings Debbie Denny, John (Michelle) Devney, and Rod Devney; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Scott is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Irvin and Opal Dellihay, and his paternal grandmother Leona Devney.
Scott’s visitation will be Wednesday February 16th, at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, from 11-12pm. His funeral will begin at 12pm.
He will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
