Scott Alan Barnhart, 50, of Mooresville, Indiana passed away November 14, 2018. He was born October 19, 1968 in Indianapolis to Ernie Lee Barnhart and Deborah Kay Pieper; the only son of three children.
Scott was a 1987 graduate of Decatur Central High School. He received training in leather crafting as well as locksmithing, both crafts he enjoyed. He was an easygoing man who loved being outdoors, especially if it involved hunting or fishing. Family remembers him as a funny man who was well liked and who loved to woo the ladies with his voice singing karaoke. While all of these things describe Scott, he is best known for his positive outlook on life. He took everything in stride, including his own debilitating health struggles. His passing leaves an empty space who all who were lucky enough to meet him but peace can be found in knowing that Scott knew the Lord. Today, he is breathing easy and living pain free for possibly the first time ever.
He is survived by parents Ernie (Diana) Barnhart and Deborah (Terrell) Pieper; sisters, Lora (Dwayne) Pruitt, Jill Mabry; half-sisters, Andrea Barnhart, Kelly Barnhart, and Melissa (Travis) Martin; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, November 24 at 1 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Decatur Township. All are welcome to gather, share stories, and spend time with one another beginning at 12 PM.
