Sarah "Sally" Katharine Renfro

Sarah “Sally” Katharine Renfro, 74, of Indianapolis passed away June 4, 2023.  She was born July 20, 1948, in Oak Park, Illinois the daughter of the late Thomas Worth and Eleanor (Kistler) Jay.  She married Stephen R. Renfro on December 26, 1973.

Sally was a graduate of Arlington High School and later received her Bachelor’s degree from Ball State University.  She worked as a Supervisor for Marion County Social Services.  Sally was an avid golfer and member of Twin Lakes Golf Club. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her loving husband of almost 50 years, Stephen Renfro; two sons, Stephen Kyle (Jennifer) Renfro and Scott Jason (Jeremy Crowe) Renfro; stepdaughter, Michelle (Mark) Lewis; four grandchildren, Brayden, Brooklyn, Morgan, and Kayla; and a sister-in-law, Deborah (Jim) Herold.

In accordance with Sally’s wishes there will not be any public services.  Arrangements were entrusted to Flanner Buchanan – Carmel.
