Sarah Elizabeth (Nicolson) Parker, 34, left us unexpectedly on October 4, 2021 at her home in Carmel, Indiana.
Sarah was born on January 24, 1987 in Fort Wayne, IN to Ian Nicolson and Claire Marks. Growing up in Fort Wayne, she played tennis and volleyball. She graduated from IUPUI Kelley School of Business with a triple major in Marketing, International Business and Supply Chain Management. Having battled diabetes from a young age, which resulted in a kidney and pancreas transplant in 2015, she was dedicated to the Indiana Donor Network.
She married her true love, Frankie, in September of this year and was immersed in creating a home for them and their two fur children — Remi and Lucy. Sarah loved curling up on the couch with a good mystery show and a big bowl of popcorn, going to concerts and movies, and of course, shopping.
She doted on her three nieces and her nephew — reading them books, building spaceships out of cardboard boxes, and ensuring they were always the best dressed. Her positive attitude was infectious, and she had a positive impact on family and friends, especially her crew of besties from IUPUI.
Sarah brought an irreplaceable spark to everyone’s lives and we won’t be the same without her. As she is reunited with her beloved Sushi, she is survived by her husband Frankie Parker; mum Claire Marks and stepfather Steve Marks; dad Ian Nicolson and stepmother Jan Nicolson; brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Jamie Nicolson; sister and brother-in-law, Katherine Nicolson and Tyson Wipperling; nieces Eva, Rose, and Cora, and nephew Ian Dennis.
Her Celebration of Life is Saturday, October 9 at noon, at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46250. If you are planning to attend in person, please wear a mask.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Donate Life Indiana to support their mission to save lives and raise awareness for organ, eye, and tissue donation: Sarah’s Squad
