Sara Ruth Howard

Sara Ruth (Horner) Howard, 76, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017 in Westfield, IN. She was born February 11, 1941 in Nashville, TN to Eugene and Doris Horner, who preceded her in death. Sara graduated from Peabody High School in Nashville, TN and attended the University of Kentucky, where she met and married Robert L. Howard in 1961.

Sara was an active member of Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon and a Stephen Minister. She was also a member of the BK chapter of P.E.O.

Along with her husband, Robert, she is survived by her 3 children, Tracy (Jeff) Hadden, Robert (Stephanie) Howard, Jr., Carrie (Robert) Piha and her 9 grandchildren, Sam (Liz), Joe and Will Hadden, Emily and Nicole Howard, Benjamin, Ted, Elizabeth and Calvin Piha. She is also survived by her brothers Gene and James Horner of Memphis, TN and Miami, FL.

On Friday, December 8, 2017, there will be a memorial service at 2:00 pm with visitation from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, 1065 E. 106^th Street Indianapolis, IN 46280.
