Sandra Susan Dewitt

Sandee Dewitt, 58, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021.  She was born on August 25, 1963 in Calhoun, GA Thammer Taylor and Janet (Walraven) Hampton.

Sandee was a 1983 graduate of Bradley Central High School in Cleveland, TN.   She recently went back to school online and earned a B.S. from Phoenix University.  Sandee was currently employed with American Family Insurance, serving as the office manager at the Westfield, 10^th & Post and 71^st & Binford locations over the course of 20+ years.

Sandee was an avid collector of metal tins and board games and enjoyed keeping her mind sharp by doing sudoku puzzles.  She enjoyed recycling and attending car shows with her husband and their ‘64 Bonneville convertible.  Sandee was very intelligent and creative and enjoyed sharing those gifts with her church, Rise, where she has been a member since 2000.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, William Timothy Dewitt; siblings, Robert Hampton, Candy Overton and Pam Carson; along with several nieces and nephews.  Sandee is also survived by her sister-in-law, Jena Figueroa (children, JC and Evan) and brother-in-law, Mark Dewitt.  She leaves behind her canine companion, Cinnamon.   

She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Robert and Janice Dewitt; brother-in-law, Ed Figueroa; sister-in-law, Anita Dewitt and Anita’s son, Denny Dewitt.

A celebration of Sandee’s life will be held at 3pm on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Rise Church, 6001 W. 52^nd St. Indianapolis, with a time of gathering 1 hour prior to the service.
