Sandra Sue “Sandy” (Cooper) Miller
76, of Indianapolis, IN passed away October 2, 2017. Sandy was born in Indianapolis, IN on October 21, 1940 to the late, Wilbur and Kathleen (Grayson) Cooper. She graduated from Manual High School and retired from Burger Chef (Hardee’s) after 27 years of service. Sandy was a member of Garfield Christian Church, where she found the key to open the new church. She loved spending time with family and friends – dancing, bowling, and listening to Elvis. Sandy also enjoyed reading gossip magazines and romance novels. She was always proud of being showcased on a local dancing show when she was younger with her twin brother, Larry.
Sandy was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 56 years, Jack A. Miller and her parents, Wilbur and Kathleen. She is survived by her children: Ray Miller, Ron Miller (Shelly) and Cindy Cole (Jeff); twin brother, Larry Cooper (Margaret) and sister, Betty Troha; grandchildren: Zach Miller (Courtney), Erika Charles (Brandon), Amanda Cole, and Tiffany Miller; great-grandchildren, Chase and Natalie Charles; her best friend since age 10, Jackie Bennett; as well as many other loving family and friends who will miss her big smile and swift dance moves.
Friends may call from 4pm until 8pm on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held at the funeral center on Saturday, October 7th at 11am, with additional calling from 10am until the service time. Burial will follow services in Washington Park East Cemetery.
