Sandra Lee Delph

January 22, 1940 — January 22, 2020

Zionsville, Indiana

Sandra Lee Delph, 80, passed away at home on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 surrounded by
her loving family. She was a true warrior, fighting cancer for more than 25 years. Sandye was
born on January 22, 1940 in Indianapolis to Betty Jane (Brabender) and Harry Townsend Ford.
She spent much of her early life with her doting grandparents, Carl and Mary Ellen Brabender,
was active in the National Association of Dance and Affiliated Artists, Inc. and participated in
local gymnastics events.
Sandye graduated from Shortridge High School and began working for the National Retail
Hardware Association where she met Tom Delph, the future father of her daughters. Sandye
moved to Zionsville in 1972, devoted time to raising her daughters, and worked for more than 50
years for the R.F. Seeburger Company. Upon retiring, she enjoyed cooking, catering special
events for friends, traveling to enjoy new experiences with family, and spending time with her
dogs.
Over the last several years, Sandye valued the constant companionship of Gerry Haroldson, the
father of her son-in-law, for his stories, sense of humor, compassion, and shared love of family.
Sandye is survived by her two daughters, Stephanie Jane (Michael “Packer fan” Haroldson) and
Angela Kaye (James Remaklus); step-daughter Deborah Lee (Debbi) (Tom Cox); grand
daughter Elisabeth Marie (Elise) (Ben Murphy); grandson William Michael (Will) Haroldson; step-grandson
Rick Ellsworth (Bobbi); step-granddaughter Audra Grzelak; and her extended family Tom Delph,
Beth Gifford, Carol Williams, Kim Freeman, and half-brother Ronald Quillen. Sandye was
preceded in death by her mother Bettye, father Harry, half-brother Bruce and extended family son
William Delph (Bill).
A memorial service will be held at 1pm, Tuesday January 28th at the Zionsville Flanner &
